Our Story
La Jaquette was born in Paris in 2020 from a desire to create an elegant, timeless wardrobe made differently.
After ten years working within prestigious French couture houses, Victoria Bourgin decided to bring to life a dream she had carried with her since childhood in Ukraine: creating her own brand.
Passionate about beautiful fabrics, impeccable cuts and French craftsmanship, she envisioned La Jaquette as an alternative to standardized jackets: distinctive pieces crafted in Paris in limited editions from exceptional fabrics.
A FEW WORDS FROM THE FOUNDER

“I have always loved jackets. Yet I rarely found one that brought together everything I was looking for: a beautiful cut, a high-quality fabric, a distinctive colour and a fair price.
I created La Jaquette with the desire to bring all of these elements together in one piece.
I also wanted to preserve what matters deeply to me: French craftsmanship, working with beautiful fabrics and a more considered approach to production.
Every La Jaquette piece should be beautiful, well cut and made to last. But it should also tell a story.”
— Victoria Bourgin, Founder of La Jaquette
Our Parisian craftsmanship
Every La Jaquette piece is carefully crafted in our Paris atelier.
We work with skilled artisans and favour local production in small batches. This approach allows us to remain closely involved in the making process, preserve the expertise that lies at the heart of French craftsmanship and produce according to the rhythm of our collections and the fabrics available.
Our clothes are not designed for a single season. We create elegant, timeless silhouettes intended to be worn for years and styled in different ways over time.

Upcycling at the heart of our collections
Fabric is often the starting point of a La Jaquette creation.
We select fabrics sourced from the stocks of leading French couture houses and give them a new life through our collections.
Because these fabrics are available only in limited quantities, our pieces are too. A particular colour or fabric may therefore exist in only a small number of pieces.
Rather than seeing this as a limitation, we see it as part of what makes each collection special: it allows us to create distinctive pieces far removed from standardized production while giving new purpose to exceptional existing fabrics.

Producing less, creating better
At La Jaquette, we believe in fashion built around quality, longevity and timeless style.
Our collections are produced in limited editions, and certain pieces can also be made to order when the fabric is still available.
This way of working allows us to produce more thoughtfully while offering the choice of colours and fabrics that has become part of La Jaquette’s identity.
Fair pricing
From fabric selection to the making of each piece in our Paris atelier, we want our prices to genuinely reflect the quality of the materials and the craftsmanship involved.
By favouring a more direct approach and carefully managed production, we aim to maintain a balance between craftsmanship, quality and fair pricing.
WHAT MATTERS TO US
Our commitment goes beyond clothing.
Animal welfare is a cause that is especially close to our hearts. In addition to our annual support, €1 from every order is donated to help protect animals in France.
It is a simple gesture that reflects one of our beliefs: small actions, when sustained over time, can help make a difference.
