India 18th century

Coco's pajamas
It took Coco Chanel to democratize pajamas. Known for her audacity and creativity, the fashion designer and model turned heads by adopting "beach pajamas" in 1918.
Pallazzo Pyjamas: cocktail outfit
In 1960, Russian princess and fashion designer Irene Galitzine was inspired by pajamas to imagine a new cocktail outfit. Its name? The Palazzo Pyjama.
